WW ll supper

 The usual suspects got together last weekend to celebrate VE Day. The recipes were taken from 'We'll eat again' by Marguerite Patten and all turned out very well. We started with pototo and watercress soup, followed by bangers and mash and ended with apple pie and custard. We even dressed the part - the guests were Andy Cap and his missus, a spiv and his moll and a land girl and her bloke! The photos don't really do us justice 'cos we all looked wonderful!
We listened to music from the era and really got into the spirit of the thing. Will have to do this again - maybe the fifties next time?! Who knows where we shall go...
